Dianna Braun Aspirations Award
The Dianna Braun Aspirations Award is presented biannually by the National Women’s Branch (NWB), Blind Citizens Australia. The award recognises the noteworthy contribution to the lives of people who are blind and vision impaired in Australia that has been made by a woman who is a current full member of the NWB.
The NWB Committee will assess nominations and shortlist finalists. The NWB committee reserves the right not to present the award if they deem that the nominations do not reflect the selection criteria.

David Blyth Award
Every second year, Blind Citizens Australia (BCA) presents the David Blyth Award and the Blind Citizens Australia Certificates of Appreciation.
The David Blyth Award is named after BCA’s founder, Mr David Blyth AO. You can learn more about David by listening to a series of podcasts, “Blindness No Barrier”. The award recognises individuals who have made a significant contribution to the lives of people who are blind or vision impaired. A list of former award recipients is included below.
Certificates of Appreciation are awarded to members of Blind Citizens Australia who have made a significant contribution to the work of the organisation. Recipients are volunteers and contribute to BCA’s work in various ways, including with our communications, supporting peers, assisting in systemic advocacy issues, and with the general operation of the organisation.
